Ready to Meet Him?
Ready to Meet Him 2004
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZfVwqN6fid8
I’m calling to the hands to heal, with the looking glass to figure who steal.
I’ll show them what’s real – and in this world what they will feel.
They’ll be:
Trapped in a place where there are no bars, where you are your own P.O.W., running in circles.
Try different ways to cope, but learned money can't justify lost hope.
How long will it take for us to realize there are no more stars left to wish or sunrays left to reach out to?
Worse so, how you so hurt when they don't even seem to miss you?
Tried the casual route, reverse role, and the "no one but you"
But why when on best behavior, they never come through? ?
You’ll try to go with what makes sense, but when sense has too much in common, you will persist.
Tenacious in your pursuit of happiness, but scared cause what used to matter most, is no longer precious.
Realize how much you've compromised, so you try to release the scars that bind you to this pain
But even as a child we just wanted to been seen laughing in the purple rain.
Destiny is a force, you can not control
So if you can’t learn from past mistakes, prepare for your heart to be cold.
The reverse touché back unto you.
You see enough to know what is true,
Then you realize what has been, what will be, what is all due.
They’re ain’t no options, fate has been sealed
Before, after, or during… that is yet to be revealed.

Re: Ready to Meet Him?
Borderline poetry, quite well written, solid use of imagery through words. Well done.
