Is it worth all of the stabbing and killing and clapping...?
To get the point across that the thugs are the ones rapping
Is it worth destroying all of the progress that we've achieved
To diss on other rappers so we can feel somewhat relieved
Is it worth taking the rap game to a higher level than present
Or should we hold ourselves back, going to jail because of weapons
It's questions like these that I've got to ask myself...
Is the music I live for worth dying for just to attain wealth...?
Should I refrain from showing my talent and leave it on the shelf?
Is it worth the time and effort to fight for what I believe in...?
Sometimes I don't know...am I a failure or an achievement
Must I go through life wandering with unanswered questions?
Is that the purpose of Life or one of its miconceptions...?
I need some type of direction...can you point out the way?
Or are you just another follower that flows on the wave?
I need answers to my questions...can you give me a reason?
Another proof...some evidence or even a simple meanin'...
Whats worse living or dying...failing or trying...?
Telling the truth or lying...Living heavenly or frying...?
I need to ask the questions because I'm unsure of where to go
And i need information so i can understand what others know...
There were a few before my time who found answers of thier own
and I dedicate this OM to those that never made it home...
For those that paved the way to get us our rights today...
For those that made it possible for blacks and whites to play...
To those that kept it real when others would only talk...
For those that walked the walk with risks of being outlined in chalk...
To those who fought for rights to equal everyone in the world...
Who didn't think of themselves but for future boys and girls...
All of the people whoever created thier own path...
And those who helped me find mine...like my mom and my dad
To the role models that we've had I thank you for contribution
Because without you today i wouldn't be doin' what I'm doin'...
