Today is the day that I will change.
There will be no more blank-faced lethargy
And wasted hours spent diluting the brain
With delusion.
There will only be smiles and happiness
And unrelenting companionship.
No more sitting in the safety of a house
Waiting for something that hasn't even
Made itself a something yet.
I will walk down the streets of a city
And shake the hands of the people walking
And introduce myself to them
And maybe even begin a conversation.
Maybe even make a friend
A friend to live my life with
A friend to make my life easier to live.
I will find a job that pays well
And I will take vacations and
I will buy things that I dont really need
Just to have them.
Maybe that well paying job
Will lead me to a better paying job
And I will become rich and possibly
Even famous.
Famous for being rich.
I will start to make friends that are rich
And we will do whatever it is
That rich people do.
And eventually I will grow into
A happy old-man and I will have
A happy old wife and a happy old
Dog in an old house tucked away
In the old woods.
Then one day I will pass-away
into the next life and I will accomplish
things even greater than the things
I will accomplish in this life.
