right now i use magix music maker premium 17 and a blue snowball mic...and i dont have a midi keyboard....so i think im moveing in a good direction in everything....but please let me know ur opinions and if theres anything better i can get around the same price

if you're not gettin' an interface with phantom power and a built-in preamp, then be sure you get the AT2020 USB mic... other than that, you should be aight with that stuff... I wouldn't buy Ableton Live when you can get Reaper for free, among the several other beat making programs you can "find", such as FL Studio or Reason... instead, I'd use that money for a decent set of studio headphones, like the Sony MDR7506...

the only reason i wanted ableton live is cuz ive seen some people use it and it seemed the most interactive as far as sampleing and what not...is that not true?
