Checking In
The Last Straw
The day is hot and sunny, a breeze is funny to the skin.
Makes the cooling wind so pleasant, it feels like a needed sin.
The High School is my destination, it's like a new sensation.
Talking to friends and girls, sex and drugs are the temptations.
One kid, doesn't have a nice out-fit, but no one knows about it.
They tease him constantly, whenever the hallways are crowded.
He does his work, his parents are jerks, and he feels betrayed.
He's never done a drug, got arrested, or even been laid.
His dad drinks alot, he won't stop beating on his only son.
I noticed him at school but didn't help, now I feel stupid and dumb.
He got a gun, decided to make everything right in his mind.
The minute he stepped into school, he knew he crossed the line.
He begin to see the bullies and they fully went to everyday tricks.
He thought if he loaded the gun, that their attitudes may switch.
So he pulled out the pistol, the bullets flew, it was a fast draw.
Now my picture's in the obituary, cause I pulled life's last straw.
What an idiot, if you would read my weekly news.
You'd see that I dropped out of this... you ruined my setup
