crazy that shit this coward from let’s beefs said. don’t know when you spoke to homes but it must’ve been well before the RW tourney started cuz activity was kinda lull back then before i started actively posting around august-september. i’m fully down with starting some shit with LB cuz if dudes logic is “your site looks basic” as basis for him declining a battle that’s some ho ass shit. i’m probly oversimplifying what was actually said but who cares when there’s beef lol. at netcees new accounts can’t even post (which is why i came here) so that would be a challenge but Spree used to divert traffic from there to here so it’s still doable.

gotta say, props to @HEK TEAFY though, he’s the only one who came from LB and stayed i believe, so he’s a real one in my opinion.

Yeah Hek battles a lot on LB too, Faq was also on there before he signed up here but that was prior to the tourney.

My subjective take on the conversation was that he would be happy to do the tourney but he didn't want to do it across both sites, probably because they get paid via adverts on site & monthly memberships, meaning people using RB would reduce traffic on their site and risk their members joining here, thus fuckin up their bag.

Their site is a bit weird at first but they do have some interesting ideas like needing to vote on 3 battles to enter 1 with a credit-based system & they have a live chat which I always thought was good on the old Don't Flop website. In fairness they do have way more features on there, although some are a bit childish like a "create your emcee" avatar thing, but like @Slayerr. said, if you don't CAPITALIZE when you're RAPPIN YA RHYMES a large portion of their users will struggle with it because it's almost standard format over there. I don't mind when people highlight complex wordplay that might otherwise be missed or misunderstood but using quotation marks for simple similes is a bit OTT.

I forgot LB was a thing so just popped on to have a look and that has got the be the least user friendly forum I’ve ever seen, the colour scheme hurt my eyes. I also hate when people caps their RHYMES all the TIME; proper needless - another assault to the eye site.

Lol without commenting on the visual quality of their verse structure, i agree the site is difficult to look at/navigate. damn near unusable from a phone, so many ads covering everything. add to the fact that i see no reason for their spokesman to gloat about “competition” cuz from the small amount of viewing i did, they don’t have much in the way of it. well, certainly not enough to be an elitist ass when presented with a site battle. maybe it’s just me, but i’d never turn down free food for myself or my people if i some tasty morsels offered themselves as tribute for my rappitite.

this makes a lot of sense. i can understand the mindstate.. i still don’t agree with having that attitude about it though, cuz if our site is that much more primitive, i don’t see why any of them would stay outside of just coming to drop their verses. hell, HEK & FAQ are to only ones who continue to chill but all others like itsbav, zklkular & Austin Flowers (i think he was from there) are gone, so it stands to reason the rest would rather go back home after their match too. the way i see it, it’s like home games and away games. i don’t mind posting over there but i’ll be damned if people start acting all prissy like they’re too good to make the jump themselves. it’s not like niggas is asking anyone to renounce their prior membership lmao.

I'm unbeaten over there & 2-2 on here, although in fairness the 2 losses were due to terrible judging, but based on the numbers it would definitely seem like the competition over there is inferior. Funnily enough one of the only people who voted against me was HEK TEAFY lol guess he didn't like the ChatGPT bars. Still can't believe no one paused "Teafy can catch a shot quick time". Would be fire if we went over there & all bodied there best just to prove a point though.

If cash prizes aren't even keeping people interested I guess we're just having a dry spell. When I spoke to this geezer called Odin from LetsBeef about setting up an RB vs LB tourney he said the site looks basic & there aren't enough decent battlers on here to make it worthwhile so he wasn't interested. I didn't think the site looked too bad but maybe updating the GUI, making the site connection secure & starting beef with netcees & LB might get things moving a bit. Some promo on battle rap media platforms can't be expensive either, I'll look into it. Who owns this site Spree? Nohbody just said it's some geezer no one can get in touch with but I don't get why he doesn't do anything with it.

Modding is pretty deng but I don't mind doing 1-2 til Miracle comes back.

RB/NC basically the same ppl. Battling the same ppl every week gets boring. Lazy voters(myself included) and newb voters who don’t get shit also kills the vibe.
