The site needs LLL to exist. The more lines required to write, the easier it is for the better writer to distance themselves from an inferior one. Harder to justify voting for some dog shit when there’s an entire verse of it.

I think I may have briefly been to illesty and RW. If they had a league I was probably in it back when I was still wack trying to get good. I started on Rapverse, then came here where vets treated every new person like trash but it was active af. Then jumped around between bragginwrites, bboys, and lie 3 other sites I can't remember to use all their leagues at the same time. I was more focused on my audio shit on my personal time but the leagues helped me be a better writer overall.

It would just make your head explode when a vote doesn't go your way. If you crying over a 1 bar battle, the pain from losing a single vote in a 5+ battle would be astronomical. Actually, we should run a league just so I could see that.

somehow i have heard of 0 of those you listed, idk what yrs they were tho but maybe just a time period i wasn't around. i was more active from like 2004-2010 prob and then maybe a few yrs before i signed up here until now

The reason the old heads here didn’t fuck with RapVerse was because the new owners here bought the site and created a mirror of it - the exact same site and forums, mirrored, then they went and gave that page a new skin and retitled its forums and blah blah blah

basically ppl tryna go to rapbattles.com were then presented with a splitscreen advertising the “Old” site (here) and the “New” (RapVerse)

obviously a lot of the newer members were drawn there. older RB heads also made accounts there and some conflict arose, both tryna prove they were the legitimate one

RB had more vets, RV more new blood establishing themselves there as good

ultimately RB won out over the long term, that’s why we’re all still here
